Membership Information


   




Membership is open to any individual or organization interested in the field of internships and experiential learning in all its forms.
MAFEL serves the Twin Cities metro and our members are from a variety of local nonprofits, businesses, and academic institutions.


Membership Options and Fees:



Membership renews on an annual basis in October. We offer 3 opportunities to join: 

Pay per meeting: $15/person per meeting. Pay in-person with cash, or RSVP for the meeting online to pay by credit card. This option does not confer member benefits.

Individual Membership: $50 annually and open to any individual. You are not required to be affiliated with any organization to join.

Organizational Membership: $100 annually, up to 5 members per organization. One member will be the primary member who is responsible for paying dues. Secondary members must be named.

How to Get the Most out of Your Membership:
  • Attend the bi-monthly meetings
    Network, network, network! 
  • Host a meeting or serve as a presenter
    Suggest meeting topics or offer connections to potential presenters
  • Take on a leadership role and volunteer on the Executive Committee 

As an all-volunteer nonprofit professional association, MAFEL relies on members to contribute ideas and resources for much of our programming. It is because of our engaged and enthusiastic members that MAFEL is able to grow and provide valuable professional development and networking opportunities!

Membership Benefits:



Membership includes access to all five yearly meetings, opportunities for networking, access to our online member’s portal, opportunities for leadership roles, and eligibility for interns/students affiliated with your organization to apply for an internship scholarship.

Access to our member’s portal includes meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentations, resources from meeting presenters, a membership directory, discussion forums, and the internship scholarship application.
